The Side-Mount Pump Panel at a Glance

A generic side-mount pump panel has two sides: the intake side (where water comes in) and the discharge side (where water goes out). Between them sits the pump body with its throttle and governor controls. Every valve on the panel controls whether a particular water path is open or closed. Learning the panel is mostly learning which valve lives at which point in that path.
