The mission

Tank to Pump exists to help firefighters build a stronger mental model of pump operations before they are under pressure at the panel.

Why this exists

Pump operations combine mechanical understanding, water supply, hydraulic math, apparatus layout, and calm decision-making. Too often, those pieces are learned separately. Tank to Pump brings them together in a visual, interactive training environment.

Teaching philosophy

We believe firefighters learn pump operations best when they can see the system, predict the outcome, manipulate the controls, and observe what changed.

Observe → predict → manipulate → observe again.

Where this is going

Tank to Pump is planned as one part of a broader suite of firefighter training tools, with future possibilities including crew leadership, training and qualification tracking, fireground calculators, and department-level reporting.
